The Huntsman reaches its final entry as John stands alone in the fog, carrying fear, guilt, and the weight of every moment he believes he failed.

John leaves the cabin with the others and steps into the fog. They choose to fight instead of run, but the clearing does not care about courage, plans, or numbers. One by one, judgment finds them.

John wakes on a cold cabin floor with his dog tags still around his neck and strangers scattered around him. Then a masked man enters, names their fear, and explains the rule: no one leaves until the door unlocks.

Chapter One of The Red in the Dark opens by showing exactly why good men don’t hesitate. Leonard Voss is walking up the street when an explosion tears open a building. While everyone else runs from the smoke and wreckage, Leonard hears people crying for help, children trapped inside, and goes in.

Get to Maine opens the main storyline of The Red in the Dark. Caleb Banks sits alone in a motel room while the radio reports on Evan Rourke’s trial and another mutilated body. Then the phone rings. A man named Marcus tells him to get to Maine.

Ben runs through the Irving Woods covered in his brother’s blood. A cabin waits in the dark, warm and lit, with stew on the stove, old books on the shelves, and a man who has been keeping stories for a long time.
